Hard core Barossa here. Maybe a little OTT but many love it that way. Old school.
Cedar and sandalwood, clove and dark chocolate, char and pan juices - bold stuff. Much like the name really.
Dark fruits are layered on thick coating the mouth generously. Oak plays it hard here too. Some mulberry fruit sweeps through the back and reminds me of a mulberry compote my grandmother used to make - good memories there. Wood spices chime in on a lengthy finish.
Generous for days, an ideal wine for something beefy.
Drink now but will cellar long term.
91/100 - Very good
