Gartelmann Sarah Elizabeth Chardonnay 2015
Pour it in the glass and whipped butter and creamy oak characters start making their intentions known. A bit heavy in the mouth with handfuls of spice. 60% saw new French oak for nine months with the remainder in one year French oak.
Yellow stone fruits and canned peach syrup are in abundance with preserved lemon chipping away in the background. Acid could settle a little more but there's not much action here to keep me captivated.
Perhaps a roast pork could be a call to arms?
Drink to three years.
