Bailey Wine Co Grampians Shiraz 2016

Pretty aromas. Romantic in many respects. I just want in after taking one whiff. Tim Bailey has hit the nail on the head here. Clever winemaking plus super attractive booze.

Take a whiff and you get violets, blue fruits, with a suggestion of mulberries.

It feels cool in the mouth. Stealth like. Those pretty characters are swamped by blue fruit and dark plums with some spine. Exotic spices grab you with a clenched fist and ride firmly. A dash of chocolate adds another layer but that vibrant fruit doesn't let up and just keeps on screaming for more interaction, aka, another sip. A lick of vanilla on exit thanks to 25% new oak for the win.

Great wine. Big love here.

Drink now to six years.
