Logan Weemala Tempranillo 2015

Weemala is an Aboriginal word for 'good view' and the vineyard the fruit comes from for this wine also boasts this name. Good entry level Tempranillo.

I get a sense this is putting up some defence to protect something. Given time it opened up a little but not overly. Good interplay between savoury and fruit characters emerge. First nutmeg, twiggy and tar characters before mulberry, black cherry and soft spices whip into gear. Cocoa tannins push through to a long finish which just sticks calling out loud for pizza and pasta dishes.

Easy drinking really.

Drink now to three years.
