Bailey Wine Co Bryksy Vineyard Riesling 2017

The second edition of the Bailey Wine Co Riesling and this is an absolute beauty! My last taste (drink) of this (2016 vintage) was sitting by the dam at John Rymill's property just outside Penola in January 2017 as we watched the sunset and scoffed freshly caught lobster from Robe. This suited the purpose just fine then. Wish I had more lobster now...

Scents of bath salts, white flowers, green apple and old school lemonade. A Riesling I could drink a lot of without qualm. It's tight with lemony fruit coiled around the mouth. In some respects I even consider it to have an 'effortless' persona. Green apple crunch grabs you with chalky feels to finish. Damn this is a brilliant wine. Great to see Tim Bailey's side project growing in stature so quickly although yet so young in the piece.

Drink now to embrace the freshness.
