Cooks Lot Allotment 3 Handpicked Chardonnay 2015

I reckon Duncan Cook could jam the price up another 5-10 dollars and still sell the lot without trouble. Quality reigns once more from his humble range of wines.

Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, free run juice barrel fermented and aged in French oak for 12 months.

Pretty aromas of vanilla, lime leaf, some struck match and white stone fruit. A minerally drive rolls effortlessly through the mouth. Riding on its shoulders are generous white fleshed peach and a subtle lemony tang. The longer it sits in the glass the more some gentle caramel characters step into the fray.

Great drinking. I'd have a couple of glasses easy.

Drink now to five years.
