I've been privileged to have a look at a number of wines by Kate Goodman of late - both her own label and her deeds for others. This Yarra Pinot is singing, more bass than pretty vocals mind you. Tap your foot to this beat.
A whiff of strawberries, sauteed mushrooms, some earthiness plus a kick of forest floor. Sour cherries and dried purple flowers wade through effortlessly finishing with a slight citrusy tang. A his and hers type Pinot - some masculine attributes along with pretty femininity. It's hard to resist going back for more - quite evocative in many ways. Killer Pinot.
Drink now to 2025.
