Yelland & Papps Devote Sparkling Vermentino 2016

I've never been one to follow instructions which may or may not have led to some frustration piecing together furniture. This time in I was on my best behaviour and followed the label instructions to the letter - 'Best enjoyed with freshly shucked oysters over summer.' What a treat. What a winner!

A stunning fresh seafood match. The creaminess from the Sydney Rock Oysters fit the bill perfectly.

Coming from possibly the first Vermentino plantings in the Barossa subregion of Light Pass in 2006, this is a delicious take on this Sardinian variety.

Lemons and lemon sherberty tang coupled with a composed creaminess ensure this can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or with seafood. It wasn't long before the bottle was drained - always a good sign.

Drink now.
