From a Canberra district vintage said to be the best since the 70s, this is a great example of cool climate Cabernet. The list of trophies and medals awarded to this wine already is quite impressive.
The wine sees 33% new oak and sits in oak for 22 months.
Aromas of roasted peppers, blackcurrant, and pizza sauce. Great fruit highlighted by blackberries with cassis following close behind. Taut, it slowly unfurls. It's a wine that is still so young. Savoury herbs peer out late with a touch of mint. I like where this is headed.
Drink 2020 for a decade plus.
