Montalto Tuerong Block Pinot Noir 2016

I wouldn't be lying if I said this was my favourite Montalto Single Vineyard release from 2016. I feel like I'm walking on cloud nine. Class, depth, persistence - woah!

From brown clay loam soils on a northern facing slope sitting 30 metres above.

So savoury. So delicious. So moreish. Enticing earthy feels, ripping dark fruits and berries, there's even a lick of aniseed sliding in though it's not prominent and only revealed with time in the glass. Dried herb and dried undergrowth coupled with some black earth all mingle at ease. Black tea like tannins roll out a carpet of pleasure urging a return, sooner rather than later. Classy Pinot and then some. Jostle to the front of the queue for this.

Drink now to eight years.
