Whistle Post Rosé 2017

Whistle Post is the new kid on the block in Coonawarra. They've made a grand entry too with their new cellar door gaining plenty of attention.

Made from Pinot Noir, the fruit was soaked for 72 hours. The colour is something which may not appeal to some - it seems retail land is obsessed with pale salmon, something this is not. It's darker and more watermelon/cranberry juice like. The yet to be released 2018 has been soaked for less time to accommodate feedback received.
Strawberries and red currants swim with ease throughout. Some texture and chalky feels, a soft creaminess rides through the mid-palate finishing with a red apple crunch. Yummo.
