Yarra Valley Cabernet starting strong but goes weak at the knees.
Said to be only released in outstanding years, the last release was 2012.
Two barrels were selected, 50% of which were new oak where it sat for nine months.
Varietal early but the tension and energy needed to carry this through scatter like ants. Watery and loose to finish, I found it hard to get through due to a lack of personality. A tough ask for the money.
