Winemaker Tim Shand does things a little differently with his Airlie Bank label. If you yearn for interest yet don't want to drop a bomb, go here. A little effort goes a long way with Sauv Blanc too. Barrel fermented, this is good stuff.
This is Sauv Blanc you want to drink. Tightly coiled, it's wound up around the mouth and quite puckering to finish. Sauv but not like you know it. Green mango and green melon, shades of rockmelon, papaya and pineapple too. A lingering spice appears at the death with an understated creaminess keeping everything true. A more than enjoyable drink.
