I had the opportunity to have a look at this beside the Stonier Chardonnay 2017. A wonderful comparison between two wines from the same region and same vintage yet different altitude and site.
This Yabby Lake is pure class. From the first whiff, you immediately get a sense it's a cut above. There's a pristine drive and measured precision about it's shape. Flinty and match stick aromas waltz forward. A minerally drive tucks in behind concentrated white fleshed nectarine and subtle raw cashews. Delicate licks of Jersey caramel flow through but you can't help but embrace the sense of sophistication that comes with this wine. A seemingly never ending length just adds further appeal. Beautiful!
