This Reserve Chardonnay is the first wine both father and son, Peter and Adam Garbin, have worked together. It's an interesting wine in many respects.
You don't see many 'Reserve' wines priced at $25 for one. On first inspection, I wouldn't have picked this as a Chardonnay. Quite the fruit forward type, there's a pine/lime splice thing going on straight off the bat. Pineapple juice is common thread throughout. The acid is bright, perhaps too much so, and points towards some aging. A very faint lick of cream and a lemony tang to close, it's quite a simple refreshment that doesn't overly scream as being either a 'classic' nor a 'new age' Chardonnay.
