For $25, this Cabernet Merlot is a super buy. A wine with lots going on and plenty to satisfy.
A blend of 60/25, there is a good dash of Malbec added too (15%), but it is not named on the label as if falls within regulations.
Smoke, char, and cured meat early. Dense fruit gets comfortable but some raspberries peer though. Soft in delivery, it curls around the mouth. Fine spices are persistent. Blueberries and dark plums gain momentum the longer it sits with dried sage and thyme masterfully weaved throughout. A hint of chocolate and mint on close where you get a glimpse at a faint minerality and granite feels. A fabulous wine for the money.
