Zema Estate Family Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

The best fruit finds its way into this Cabernet - Zema's flagship label. A savoury driven wine, I love the cut herbs and dried thyme that shimmer away. I loved this.

A wine of tremendous length, scents of menthol diffuse on opening. Touches of Bay leaf and a gentle mintiness carry some tomato bush along for the ride. Varietal characters tap along to a neat beat but its the black fruits which ooze charm and draw you in. Give this some time in the decanter and you'll be rewarded in spades. Curiously, the RRP is $50 yet buying direct from the winery will save you a further eight bucks. Do that.

Decant to drink now but drink to ten years+
