Howard Park Grand Jeté 2015

Jeté is a ballet movement - something I never knew. The way this sparkling glides through the mouth I'm not surprised it's a dancer. A graceful and elegant wine in every sense.

Moving with measured precision, it spent 48 months on lees developing complexity. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (51/49) from Western Australia's Great Southern, a soft creaminess pulls at your heart strings. Scents of gentle white flowers and white stone fruit unfurl early. There's great width through the mouth with a moreish and well balanced weight. Roasted cashews and brioche add layers of pleasure. Some poached apple chimes in too, as does a faint nip of under ripe strawberry. There's no escaping the dainty feels and minerally drive though. A terrific fizz hands down ready for celebrations and sunsets.
