These Fat Bastard wines are pitched towards those that enjoy a bigger style wine.
The label says it comes from "historic vineyards of South Australia", which turns out to be a blend McLaren Vale, Barossa and Riverland. When you find these historic Riverland sites please let me know. To taste and it's not the biggest South Australian Shiraz I've had. If anything, it sits closer to the medium bodied spectrum. Some good red fruit characters, char and some dried herbs kicking around. A fair whack of spice hits and sticks late. Not bad for $18.
Drink to three years.
