Generous and intense. There's plenty going on here. If McLaren Vale power is what you seek, this will fill your well.
Chocolate, firm rubs of spice, clove and dried herb all put the shoulder to the wheel early. Scents of boot polish chime in too. A dense brooding type - you can sink your claws in here with ease. A meaty frame with black fruits playing a large hand. Even after seven years it is still quite firm. This Shiraz will age as long as you want - not bad for a wine that's $40.
