Gee I enjoyed this. Over a few days it continued to build some fabulous momentum. A super buy for $25, and although drinking impressively now, it will reward long term cellaring. Find this.
Slip it in the mouth and it feels as though it skims across the tongue leaving ripples of curiosity before its claws dig in. Woodsy spices, black earth, char, blue fruits and mulberries all put the shoulder to the wheel. A slight whiff of cedar sneaks in too. Some acid tension forms a U bolt around the tongue and then tightens its grip. Coffee grounds, cloves and dark chocolate brownie keep adding veneers of interest. The development over a few days of tasting was quite impressive. Those woodsy spices cling on and ride long enticing you for more. Great stuff and highly recommended.
