Tucks Ridge Pinot Noir 2018

Tucks Ridge was bought by neighbour Montalto not too long ago. This 2018 is the Pinot Noir first made by Montalto winemaker Simon Black since the purchase of the Red Hill property.

Quite a spicy Pinot, it oozes typical Pinot traits with undergrowth and compost aromas. Dark berries and plummy fruit fill the mouth. Quite smooth in delivery before a rush of spice consumes the mouth. Some red apple acidity tension had its say too. It feels a little abrasive on close with that long spicy finish lingering.

Drink to eight years.
