Granite Belt Verdelho from the hands of Mark Ravens Croft.
A variety which normally quite expressive on the Granite Belt but this 2020 release seems a little more muted. More melon and apple fruit rather than the exotic tropical fruits normally seen. A gentle lemony drive ticks away. Could this be a result of significantly reduced yields and the bone dry landscape from the crippling drought which the Granite Belt endured prior to vintage? Still, there's refreshment factor although a curious slippery feel remains on exit.
