What a superb Shiraz this is! This 2018 release is the 50th vintage off this Gobell site which is grown on red loam soils at Stonewell on the western ridge of the Barossa.
A generous wine which carries the hallmarks of a classic Barossa Shiraz, the fruit dances with fine baking spices running long. Some fruit sweetness fades out with a dangerously moreish ocean of black fruit and well handled oak showing some cedar. With an ocean comes the tide and the tannins creep up and wash through the mouth with impressive subtlety. All class.
