Ai Fiori means 'amongst the flowers' in Italian. In time, the aim is for this wine to be a blend of 100% Italian varieties. But as some young vines mature, the blend for now is Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir and Brachetto.
Quite tannic, the Nebbiolo component shows its hand. Dark in the glass, it looks more like red cordial than the deceptive pale colour shown. Red fruits and berries swim about but are weighty. Good width pushes through the mouth with a dash of cream, there's a citrusy acid and tang to close with a ever so fine spice having the final say. A wine best served with food.
