A generous Durif that comes across bigger than the stated 13.7% alcohol. Lip smacking deluxe.
Bright fruit leaps out. It's quite impressive how this skips about without the saddle bags many overripe Durif wines can carry. Inky in the glass and generous to taste, licks of sweetness and cedar surge forward. Rosella and blueberry pie consume the mouth. There is plenty width but it is drying with dusty feels. Licorice, dried herbs and a rub of Granite earth kick back in the distance. A wine that will age comfortably, throw it beside a hearty stew on a cool night with a generous pour.
