Another creative master piece from the La Petit Mort label. A blend of Durif and Mataro, this sat on skins for 183 days inside Georgian Qvevri.
Texture and interest is always a highlight with these beautifully crafted wines. A quick look at this one at the cellar door with Glen Robert, and I only wish I had a charcuterie board on hand. Scents of mandarin peel with a wonderfully expressive flavour profile of dark chocolate, dark berries and black plums. The fruit washes through the mouth gloriously finishing with firm tannins and a long, moreish factor. Yes please!
Drink to five years.
