La Petite Mort Tempranillo Reserva 2016

Gorgeous. Gimme all the charcuterie. Granite Belt Tempranillo on point.

Delicate and then some, this saw 24 months in French and American oak followed by 12 months in tank then an additional 6 months in bottle before release.

Dark chocolate threads its way through a medley of blue and purple berries. Granite Belt earthy feels fold in as do soft spices which run long and seemingly endlessly. Tannins are firm but plump as it washes out ever so slowly. Impressive and then some.

Drink to six years+
