Young Merlot. It needs a decant or some bottle age before you see its true colours.
On opening it stops short and doesn't flow through to the back palate. Red apple acidity is tense and steals the limelight. A day on and plummy and blueberry fruit rolls through with some meatiness. The acid had calmed significantly. A dash of spice to close but a decant or a couple of years tucked away are a must.
Drink 2022 to six years+
