What a delicious drink! The bottle will disappear in no time. Dangerously medium-bodied, the energy and vibrancy of this wine just oozes class.
A nod to the Hunter River Burgundy's from years gone by, these modern takes are most impressive and this Tyrrell's release is no different. The Pinot component (10%) comes from vines planted in the late 1960s. Both parcels were fermented separately before blending.
Red cherries and sour cherries, blueberries and raspberries. Its vibrance knows no bounds as it dances across the palate with absolute ease. Flashes of red plums plus waves of that distinctive Hunter Valley earthiness, fine black pepper tickles a long and moreish finish. You'd be forgiven for not wanting to share.
Drink to five years.
