Montalto North One Pinot Noir 2020

The Montalto Red Hill Pinot Noir has had a make-over and it is now to be known as the North One. The label looks pretty smart although I don't have a pic to share so it's back to the old for now. Alas, this Pinot is classy as ever.

Usually the brightest and lightest of the clan, the 2020 goes deep - complexity runs through its veins. Think licorice ribbed with earthy things and delicate spices. Soft and delicate, waves of interest just roll through without constraint. Finely textured, dark plums and woodsy spices shine with time in the glass. A delicate warmth drapes itself across the palate before a long, persistent and very satisfying finish sweeps you off your feet. Embrace with two hands.

Drink to eight years.
