Hello flavour, where are you? This is the leanest Parker Chardonnay I have seen. I've previously listed this as a bargain buy but I can't recommend the same for this 2020. Insert sad face here.
It's said to have seen some new French oak but I get the sense it barely brushed past it in the winery. The only evidence is a faint lick of Creme Brulee on the finish. White fleshed nectarine and a dribble of lemon juice are the best I can find here - and I looked hard.
I once bought a six-pack at the cellar door (so impressed was I at the time) with the Mayor of Coonawarra, John Rymill, we kicked back by the waterhole on his property and saw the end of a bottle or two. And there was lobster too. What an afternoon/evening/night. If only this was in that league.
Drink to five years.
