Cassegrain Wines Spring Rosé 2021

Gee, this is one out of the box! A superb Rosé from a producer you may not have on your radar. Afternoon chills just got that little bit better with this in the glass.

Made by Cassegrain Wines who are based in Port Macquarie, I've zipped past a few times while driving along the M1. Perhaps a pop-in should be on the cards next time I'm in the hood?

The Sangiovese for this Rosé was sourced from the Hilltops. Well made, this is an excellent take on the pink stuff that is very popular this time of year.

Crunch! That red apple crunch! A wine that oozes refreshment, the acid has been handled perfectly. Red currant and red cherries race through the mouth. A tonic like texture rolls along yet there is a buzz and energetic excitement about the way it carries itself. Quite moreish and crisp to finish, this is a pool time, barbecue time, anytime wine. A belter!

Drink now.
