A bold and moody Shiraz from McGuigan Wines. Part of their Cellar Select range, it's dense with some power behind it.
The revs are in the red as it surges through the mouth. Such is the clout, some time is needed to see it calm. No doubt it will last beyond a decade, but a good decant now will only be of benefit to tame those dark fruits, dark chocolate and exotic spices that coat the mouth. Some caramel and cedar from the oak chime in late as those exotic spices run a long course through to a persistent, drying finish where cocoa tannins feature. Give it time and you should have a jewel to uncover.
