Sure it ticks the boxes but Flametree, for me, has always had that little something else about them. But hey, not every wine will deliver a galaxy of interest every year. It is worth keeping in mind though, this is not their top Chardonnay, and as always, I keenly await the arrival of the SRS.
Here you'll find dehydrated white peach, white nectarine, hazelnuts, nougat and whipped buttercream. Sure there is plenty to consider but its not as deep nor focused. Gentle ginger nut biscuit spices roll out on close.
Drink to three years.
