A newbie for me from Margaret River that impresses. I tasted this on International Chardonnay Day and it stood up well.
It sees 38% new French oak for nine months. The word fresh bounces around as I taste this. Lime zest plus yellow and white-fleshed stonefruits cruise leaving a trail of almonds and green apple with some cheeky butterscotch chiming in. An appley and grapefruit acidity prolong the happiness - a thrilling tang the parting gift. Nicely done.
