Hydropath Society Seeing Red Grenache 2019

The endless supply of Blewitt Springs Grenache continues to filter through to this tasting bench. Tom Robinson got in touch and asked if he could throw me a bottle for a look. Why not? My exploration of Grenache knows no bounds. This is a tidy drink with the slurp factor sky-high.

It's soft and juicy as it sways and swerves its way through the mouth. Coming off vines planted in 1953, red flowers and dried red flower perfume set the scene. It's pretty and engaging from the get-go and you'd be hard pressed to identify the addition of 15% Shiraz. Delicate and supple through the mouth, although not overly littered with interest, it's such an easy wine to enjoy. Long with a slippery tannin, it's a Grenache that will take a chill in warmer months to heighten its versatility. Nicely done.

Drink to three years.
