Beechworth is bitterly cold right now but this Chardy will bring some warmth to your soul. What a beauty! Personality deluxe, it radiates complexity and pleasure in equal doses.
The Chardonnay landscape is so diverse at the moment - and for lovers of the variety (me!!), it's a joy to experience so many different takes and expressions. The depth and weight have me hooked here - it's very well done.
Barbecued peach, green mango and figs early shift to lacy vanilla and delicate raw cashew nuttiness. The yellow stonefruit is concentrated and builds some impressive momentum as it sees some time in the glass. A ring of lemon juice and citrus tang is lassoed around the mouth leading to a moreish and devilishly long finish. Wrap your arms around this now or watch it age gracefully. A great drink hands down!
