Lyons Will Estate Pinot Noir 2022

Lyons Will is a label to get on your radar. Their wines are precise and very consistent across a range of varieties. If wines from the Macedon Ranges are yet to land on your bench, make a beeline to these guys. This is a fab Pinot Noir well worth wrapping your lips around.

Lyons Will Estate Negociant Series Syrah 2022

Another ripper from Lyons Will. The Granite soils speak loud as does the cool climate medium-bodied frame. Give this a decant and a silky and lacy Syrah will emerge.

Lyons Will Estate Riesling 2023

A sheer delight! What a beauty! From the Macedon Ranges comes this super expression of Riesling. Jump on board with Lyons Will - they're not doing much wrong.

Reflecting Light White Feather Chardonnay 2022

This Reflecting Light Chardonnay from the Macedon Ranges is a beautiful love story in a bottle. Chablis-esque, it's hard not to adore its shape and presence.

Lyons Will Estate Rosé 2022

Find a bucket of ice and sip this by the pool when the summer sun demands you drink something cool - what a classy bone dry Rosé we have here.

Lyons Will Estate Riesling 2022

I love this. What a drink! It's minerally, it's focused and it zeros in on the pleasure zone with pinpoint accuracy. Well played Lyons Will.

Curly Flat Estate Pinot Noir 2020

This Curly Flat Estate Pinot is a ripper. A blend of all estate fruit, it's a great experience to line up the Central and Western Pinots beside it to see how this Estate came to be. A blending masterpiece one could say...

Curly Flat Central Pinot Noir 2020

Quite a different Pinot to its Western sibling, this Central initially came across a little more subdued. You get the sense it keeps its secrets close.

Curly Flat Western Pinot Noir 2020

From a low cropping vintage, the always anticipated Curly Flat Pinots will be released in May. Pardon the bottle pic with 2019, but you get the idea.

Vino Intrepido Dulcet Tones Dolcetto 2021

A bundle of happiness awaiting a big slab of lasagne.  A full glass with a casual meal or a lazy night in front of the television watching some trashy reality program is all that is required.

Balgownie Estate Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir 2019

Add this Balgownie Estate Macedon Ranges Pinot to the 'bigger style' list. The first Pinot from that region for this producer from what I'm aware, density is the word.

Balgownie Estate Macedon Ranges Chardonnay 2019

A new addition to the Balgownie Estate range with the fruit for this Chardonnay sourced from the Macedon Ranges. It's a serious expression that wants to drag you along for the ride. Count me in...

Lyons Will Estate Gamay 2020

Oh, Gamay! What a way to steal someone's heart. So slick and glorious. Only 48 cases were produced and it'll be gone in a heartbeat.

Lyons Will Estate Pinot Noir 2019

I was a big fan of the 2018 release but this 2019 is a step up once again. A delicate and delicious Pinot Noir from a small Macedon Ranges producer.

Curly Flat Western Pinot Noir 2019

This Western moves with grace but there is a focus and sophistication about it. My pick of the three Curly Flat Pinot Noir 2019 releases.

Curly Flat Pinot Noir 2019

Always a treat. Masterfully blended and that stands out furthermore when tasted beside the single vineyard Central and Western wines. A classic.

Curly Flat Central Pinot Noir 2019

Curly Flat's Central Block is home to their oldest vines planted in 1992. This release sees some density.

Lyons Will Estate Gamay 2019

Gamay brings nothing but big smiles and thrusts you into the pleasure zone. My suggested food match is a large bowl of chips straight out of the air fryer with some footy or a trashy reality TV program to watch. Damn, this slides down so well. In the words of Meg Ryan, "Yes, yes, yes!"
