Guigal Cote Du Rhone Blanc 2019

This Guigal arrived as part of a sample pack from Yalumba in readiness for International Viognier Day on 30 April. If you were to describe this wine using an emoji, it would be 'meh'.

d'Arenberg The Hermit Crab Viognier Marsanne 2021

This Viognier Marsanne blend from d'Arenberg continues to soar. A most impressive wine for the asking price, $19 is too cheap. Chardonnay lovers would be most satisfied here for something different.

Langmeil Three Gardens Viognier Marsanne Roussanne 2020

Love a considered and layered blend? Go here. 94 points for a lobster (Australian slang for a $20 note). Woah!

Tellurian TWB 2020

A terrifically long and textural blend here from Heathocote's Tellurian Wines. Roussanne, Marsanne and Grenache Gris come together and what a fabulous debut it is! More like this, please.

Glen Garvald by Levantine Hill Shiraz Marsanne 2019

Such an intriguing wine. There's a polish about this yet it has a rustic appeal all at the same time.  A great drink.

Glen Garvald by Levantine Hill Marsanne Roussanne 2019

Clever. Levantine Hill doesn't miss the mark if at all and it's hard to see that changing any time soon with Paul Bridgeman at the wheel. This is a fabulous blend.

Alkimi The Rhone Series Marsanne 2019

Splash something different in your glass. Here's a wonderful expression of Marsanne.

Alkimi Whole Bunch Marsanne 2020

Skinsy Marsanne. Whole bunch goodness from Alkimi. Last year's release sold out in quick time and I can't see this 2020 version being any different.

La Petite Mort Marsanne 2017

Marsanne has always been a well crafted by winemaker Glen Robert. This release is no different.

Langmeil Three Gardens Viognier Marsanne Roussanne 2018

For those who like a little bit more body in their whites, give this a go. Better still, I did a double take when I saw the price. A super buy for 20 bucks!

Alkimi Whole Bunched Marsanne 2019

A textural dream boat. Mind you, skin contact wines don't float everyone's boat, but if yours is sailing strongly with the wind, get hold of this beauty. A fabulous take on Marsanne.

d'Arenberg The Old Bloke and Three Young Blondes 2015

Another controversial name for a wine with some tongue in cheek humour as only Chester Osborn knows how. A fully charged McLaren Vale Shiraz (94%) has been brightened up by the presence of Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne (3/2/1%).

Torbreck Woodcutters Roussanne Marsanne Viognier 2018

Delightful. There's plenty of interest to sink your teeth into here, but it's more a wine that calls for food to sit alongside.
