Escarpment Kupe Pinot Noir 2021

This Escarpment Kupe Pinot Noir 2021 has a weight that matches the Torbreck portfolio perfectly. Acquired by Torbreck a few years ago, if you like your Pinots loaded with oak and heft, this is for you. If you like 'em pretty and lack patience, move on.

Escarpment Pahi Pinot Noir 2021

From Escarpment's Cobble Stone Vineyard comes this Pahi Pinot Noir. Comprised of four clones, it's tense and will benefit from some bottle age.

Escarpment Chardonnay 2022

A generous Chardonnay with width and density for days.

Palliser Estate White Label Pinot Noir 2020

I love it when wines that I have never come across find their way onto the tasting bench. This Palliser Estate Pinot turned up recently and what a joyous Pinot it is. A fabulous example of Martinborough Pinot Noir.

Palliser Estate White Label Chardonnay 2020

Martinborough is a gem in the New Zealand landscape that doesn't get the same attention as some other more fancied regions. This White Label is only available in Australia - perhaps the kiwis have sent the better gear over the ditch?

Craggy Range Te Muna Road Pinot Noir 2017

Only two Craggy Range wines have graced these pages over the years. I spied this on the shelf when in search of beer at an independent retailer on the Gold Coast. For $44 I just had to have a looksy. And I'm pleased I did. What a superb Pinot Noir from New Zealand's Martinborough region!
