blü hen Riesling 2022

Riesling but a little bit different. Barrel fermented, this release from Mudgee, NSW, delivers a neat textural vibe.

blü hen Shiraz Riesling 2022

Don't look at Shiraz Riesling and say, "Oh what!" but rather belt out, "Oh yeah!". This is a juicy, vibrant and energetic wine that screams for large pours and generous plates of food. And how is that label for capturing the eye with brilliant shelf appeal?

Gaelic Cemetery White Hut Riesling 2022

Tightly wound, this Clare Valley Riesling from Gaelic Cemetery is ready to cut loose with its focused acidity.

Spinifex Late Release Riesling 2017

If aged Riesling spins your wheels, get amongst this late release from Spinifex. Wonderfully concentrated, it still has many years of pleasure ahead.

Chaffey Bros Tripelpunkt Riesling 2017

A museum release from Chaffey Bros, I was fortunate enough to give this a road test at Artisans of Barossa recently. With over 40 wines on tasting, there are plenty of gems to uncover. If aged Riesling is your thing, this is a beauty.

Chaffey Bros Triplepunkt Riesling 2022

I had a quick look at this Tripelpunkt from Chaffey Bros on a recent trip to Artisans of Barossa. It was my first taste of this wine and I must say I was quite impressed.

Spinifex Riesling 2022

I haven't seen a Spinifex wine for some time so when I was hosted at Artisans of the Barossa recently and offered a glass of this Riesling I jumped at it. Great stuff this.

Colmar Estate Riesling 2022

I have only just come to know Colmar Estate but what I have learnt very quickly is that they produce excellent Riesling out of Orange, New South Wales. Start your Riesling journey with them here.

Colmar Estate Reserve Riesling 2022

Sleek and pure, this is a superb Riesling from Orange, NSW. This was my first introduction to Colmar Estate and I hope it isn't the last. What a stunning beacon of deliciousness!

Colmar Estate Block 5 Riesling 2022

What a great exercise it was to taste this Block 5 Riesling beside its sibling the Colmar Reserve Riesling. The two sites are 100 metres apart from one another but both wines are very different, and it must be said, both are excellent.

Shaw Wines Eden Valley Riesling 2022

This is new for Shaw Wines. I haven't seen them draw fruit from outside their immediate locality in the Canberra district til now. A wonderfully refreshing wine, the Eden Valley bath perfume trait diffuses luring you in.

Mayfield Vineyard Backyard Riesling 2022

A smart Riesling from a new producer to me. From Orange, NSW, the minerally drive and cool climate vibe sing all the joyful things.

Limefinger Solace Polish Hill River Riesling 2022

Neil Pike has been making Riesling from this vineyard for over 30 years. Planted in 1994, the vineyard surrounds his home. The joyous presence and focused tension of Polish Hill River is shining here in all its magnificent glory. The best new release Riesling I have tasted? Absolutely!

Limefinger The Learnings Watervale Riesling 2022

Neil Pike says that after 40+ years of making Watervale Riesling, you learn a thing or two, hence the name The Learnings. Limefinger is his retirement project, and if you love Riesling you ought to race to the front of the queue. This is exceptional.

Led by gorgeous floral aromas, this minerally driven Grampians Riesling hones in on the refreshment zone that only a chilled Riesling can deliver.

Mitchell Watervale Riesling 2022

Pretty scents of white florals with Jasmine highlights. Zippy and zesty, this is a great drink for the money.

Hesketh Regional Selections Riesling 2022

The summer of Riesling at Qwine HQ is going gangbusters. What a ripping vintage 2022 has been for the variety! This is a more than respectable release from Hesketh.

Vickery Watervale Riesling 2022

Pretty white flowers, a subtle bath powder and a musky perfume get you in the mood. There is a bit more going on aromatically with this Vickery Watervale Riesling - a little more than its Eden Valley stablemate.

Vickery Eden Valley Riesling 2022

Two Rieslings, one maker, two districts. This Vickery Riesling is from the Eden Valley with its sibling from the Clare Valley subregion of Watervale. Sitting such wines side by side is always an interesting activity.

Hutton Vale Farm Off Dry Riesling 2022

Spicy takeaway night needs a Riesling like this. It is said to be medium dry but I feel it's a little sweeter than that. The fruit and sweetness aren't as balanced as hoped.
