Twisted Gum Verdelho Semillon 2021

Tim and Michelle Coelli run a cute cellar door and rely on their 3 hectare site to supply all their fruit. With testing weather conditions in recent years, they've pushed on resisting to buy in fruit. Here they have combined two white varieties rarely paired with one another. Hillsdale Estate Verdelho 2021

This is one out of the box - it's sleek and lean. Considering Verdelho is often lambasted in some quarters for lacking personality, check this. It's mightily impressive and highly recommended.

When you hear someone say that Verdelho is boring and one dimensional, thrust a glass of this their way.

Gartelmann Jessica Verdelho 2018

Satisfying Verdelho from the Hunter Valley. Lots of tropical fruit within to take the sting out of a hot day.

Pyramids Road Wines Verdelho 2018

I was in the hood and popped into Pyramids Road. It's always great catching up with Warren Smith. A down to earth gentleman, no show, no fuss, just a genuine bloke making solid wines.

Tyrrell's Fordwich Verdelho 2017

There's an award at the Hunter Valley Wine Show for the winemaker of the best Verdelho - it's a tiara. Make of that what you will. This comes from what is said to be a top Verdelho site.

Witches Falls Wild Ferment Verdelho 2016

A different take on Verdelho moving away from the clean and fresh tropical fruit which adorns most.
