Pale straw in appearance, aromas of gentle butter, fleshy peach, stone fruits and a splinter of oak.
Light fruit weight on the palate which presents a more modern style Chardonnay without dominant oak. All elements seem to be on the right track except for a slightly oily finish which was unexpected. Not sure what happened here, but the finish just didn't seem right to me. Was it just the bottle? I can only guess.
Summer drinking in the sun with a chicken salad.
