Quite a bold Chardonnay with a firm texture. I couldn't drink too much of this on its own, but coupled with food such as roast chicken, it would slip down much easier.
Stone fruit, nuttiness, toast and nougat aromas spill out of the glass along with a good hit of oak. Soft acid is welcomed, but the lack of mid palate fruit is noticeable. Some creamy flavours flow through and I get a sense the wine just needs a little more polish.
Those who shy away from oaky Chardonnay, I wouldn't suggest this be on your "to drink" list. Personally, not something I'd be rushing out to buy.
