This is the only Pinot Gris coming out of Coonawarra. Fact!
Leaner than the 2013, but the glistening bronze appearance is still keeping strong.
Get a whiff of poached pear, quince and dried flowers. Rich on palate, it's nicely textured with an engaging complexity. The length sits pretty supported by good fruit but the acid has a touch more kick than fruit. Maybe some extra time in bottle will help though drink this in the short to term.
This type of wine needs food and I suggest tuck in with chicken or pork dishes. Good value too.
Very good (just sneaks in).
