This is like a big warm cuddle. It has a homely feel to it and goes a treat with a slow cooked stew or casserole. For those who haven't had a Malbec before this is a fair starting point.
Aromas of licorice, earth, leather and dark fruits. Some blue berry fruit unfurls nicely and leads the charge. The palate feels a little incomplete, but with food at the ready I don't care. It's satisfying and soothing on a cold night. The finish is drying.
Feed it meat and you'll win. Well priced too and I suspect you may find it a little cheaper around the traps.
