The fruit for this Chardonnay comes from a vineyard on the outskirts of the McLaren Vale region. Free run juice was transferred to barrel for barrel fermentation which was stirred weekly.
Aromas of peach, nectarine and preserved lemon. Quite warm in the mouth with the barrel ferment has imparted a pastry type character. That warmth hovers and some melted butter slides on in. It's generous in delivery but the oak has overplayed its hand.
I'd have a glass with a roast chicken.
Good.
