I was pleasantly surprised by this wine. There's a wonderful easy drinking appeal about it which is quite comforting.
Sourced from a vineyard in Mt Gambier, south of Coonawarra, the use of new French oak and whole bunches has added some complexity.
Dark cherry, a dash of baking spice and strawberry aromas. Dried Mediterranean herbs too. And that savoury action sings. It rides the wave from start to finish and hangs long. Dangerously smooth with a fine tannin structure. Pure easy drinking pleasure.
Have in the short to medium term.
