I see Central Otago and I get excited. A little Big Kev style so the expectation parameters have already been set...
Whilst OK I didn't overly enjoy it. Sure there were some usual characteristics of dark cherry and earth (you can say that about most Pinot really). But it just seemed a little chunky. The oak was a little overdone and the fruit wasn't as seamless as I had hoped for.
A fair drink, but for $35, it's a big ask.
